In order to further accurately detect the acetaldehyde content in PET bottles for hot filling, Haohan Chromatography (Shandong) Application Technology Development Co., Ltd. established a gas chromatography method for the determination of acetaldehyde content in PET beverage bottles for hot filling by capillary column method, and studied the method. The results show that the release of acetaldehyde is very slow under normal storage temperature conditions, while the release of acetaldehyde will be accelerated under the condition of strong light irradiation; after filling, when the temperature drops below 80℃ within 1 hour, there will be no precipitation of acetaldehyde.
